Saltoun Local History Group

The idea to set up a local history group, based in Saltoun, started as a discussion during a Knot Knits meeting in the Session Rooms in East Saltoun.

An initial meeting was set up to gauge interest and those who attended decided to set up the Saltoun Local History Group, focusing on talks about local history, curation of the items in the museum based in the Tithe Byre, East Saltoun and in gathering local stories and voices. Scheduled talks take place between September and May as well as other ad hoc events throughout the year.
