The Saltoun area has a rich and varied history which has been documented in the booklet ‘A History of Saltoun and the Fletcher Family’ by East Saltoun resident Margaret Wyllie.  Copies of this booklet can be bought by using the email address detailed on this website. Booklets are £5 each.

Research into the Saltoun War Memorial, the beautiful stained glass window in Saltoun Church, was undertaken in order to mark the passing of 100 years since the armistice of the First World War. It was to commemorate the men listed on the war memorial by giving an insight into their lives—where they lived, where they worked and who they loved. The booklet produced can be accessed here –
